Took this at the Oct 23 Republican Rally in Ft. Meyers FL. Snipers and a helicopter over an unknowing mass of people. The crowd was rather dark, so I tinkered a bit to try and fix it.. couldnt get it how I wanted so any tips would be appreciated.

This is a really cool shot. I had to look twice or more to be sure it wasn't rendered into a painting. I didn't find the helicopter for the longest time... It was lost in all that extra white space up top. I think if you were to crop anything at all I'd crop out some of the excess sky. It pulls the attention away from the crowd and the men on top. As far as the guy's head in the corner - I think this actually works quite well to establish your place, the photographer, the interested party - in the scene. It makes the viewer feel as if they are there. Good stuff!

I actually think the crowd is fine the way it is... any more detail down there and your attention is drawn away from the men above and the helicopter...
I'd consider cropping out the huge light thing and some of the crowd just to clean things up a bit... but other than that... great picture... great concept.

Thanks man, that means alot coming from you. I'll play around with cropping and see what happens.. i had tried to avoid that cause i didnt think it looked quite right all chopped up, but.. meh. That guys head in the bottom corner bugs the crap outta me.

I can't really help you much with the photo thing, but I dig the concept. With it being dark, it defenitly adds a dark, tense sort of feeling, like something bad is going to happen. Thinking how it would be, I would be scared, knowing that a sniper could pick me off at any given moment. It's almost frightening.
